great news to share with you:
Our 5 canyoneers including Kabindra and Rajesh are all of sudden media
celebrity here in Nepal now. They are on television shows and front pages
of popular newspapers almost everyday since Wednesday 25 th June '08. Of
course Nepal Canyoning Association (NCA) and canyoning itself have been
much publicized in the last days.
It was possible from a dramatic incident - a highly publicized rescue
action of a little girl of 2.5 years from the deep gorge of Seti river in
Pokhara. She was fallen accidentally deep down about 65 feet through a
earth crack and remained there for about 22 hours. The girl got her life
back. Almost all event was live on TV. Of the many teams involved
including from police, army etc. our NCA team emerged successful with
their canyoning skill. The importance of their skill that is still new in
Nepal has been highly appreciated by all quarters of society and the
government itself and they became rescue heroes.
We would also like to share this moment of joy with you and would like to
thank you again for your kind help in development of canyoning in Nepal.
